Mother’s Day Already?
Mother’s Day is next Sunday. (Yes, already. This year is just flying by, isn’t it?) I’m in the midst of a gift buying frenzy since Mother’s Day falls right between both my mother and father’s birthdays, followed by Father’s Day, my younger brother’s birthday, and my wedding anniversary. I guess I’ll be sacrificing a couple of white chocolate mochas from Starbucks this month.
Anyhoo, gift hunting for mother is one of my favorite things to do. Mostly because while shopping for mom, I tend to find a couple of things for myself that I may or may not necessarily have a need for. If you find yourself stuck on finding the perfect Mother’s Day gift, here are a few, budget-friendly items I’ve come across:

Bath & Body Works always has the cutest gift sets. I especially love the fragrance sets that come tucked away in a cute little purse or tote bag. B&BW has several bag and tote sets for well under $30.

Beauty Chic Hobo Bag
Japanese Cherry Blossom
$22.50

How could anyone resist this set? Five miniature-sized Escada fragrances makes for a perfect fit in your purse or evening bag.
Sephora
$32
P.S. Sephora also has free shipping on orders of $50 or more.

Who doesn’t love the gift of food? Especially in the form of dessert.

Petits Four, Set of 12
Williams-Sonoma (Online Only)
$29
Description: “The assortment of diamond-shaped cakes includes three fillings: lemon curd with lemon buttercream, raspberry preserves with raspberry buttercream and vanilla buttercream. These elegant confections are made for us by Dragonfly Cakes, an artisanal bakery in Northern California. Shipped frozen, the petits fours will keep in the freezer for up to three months.”

For the Mom on-the-go…
Personalize your own Starbucks gift card. Personal customization costs $5, and the minimum denomination you can place on the card is $15. With a plethora of patterns and fonts to choose from, you can spend hours of your free time creatings cards for all of your family and friends. (It gets addictive. Trust me.)

Heads up!
Amazon has the second and third seasons of Grey’s Anatomy on sale for $29.99 each. Or you can buy the complete set, all three seasons, for $80. You can’t go wrong with this show. Honestly, I have yet to come across a woman who has sat through at least one episode and not become addicted to the soapy tv drama.
